During this guided hiking in the Teide National Park and interpretation of its natural environment, you will get to know La Fortaleza, located to the north of this impressive protected natural space.

A wonder of nature and home of Mt. Teide, the highest peak in Spain with a height of 3.715 meters.

Walk among a great diversity of volcanic materials deposited on a large caldera of about 17 kms. in diameter, is an experience in this unique environment that is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

At about 2.000 meters above sea level, the path of La Fortaleza, of low difficulty and practically flat. It runs between the desolate volcanic landscapes of the National Park, typical of another planet.

You will ascend to La Fortaleza, from where you will have magnificent views of the north face of Mt. Teide. An authentic stone colossus of reddish color, formed by very viscous phonolitic lavas that solidified on an old eruptive mouth.
